Bob Ross is possibly the most recognised television painter in history, Bob's television programme has taught millions of people from all over the world to paint, most of whom, never believed they had the talent are now experiencing the 'Joy of Painting'.
Bob Ross' simple wet-on-wet oil paint technique is designed to give people who have the desire to paint instant encouragement and success, 'If you can paint a garden shed' he said 'you can paint one of my pictures'. Wet-on-wet is a method of oil painting which involves the application of wet paint on top of wet paint without letting each layer dry first. All of the Bob Ross materials have been designed and carefully formulated to achieve successful results in this wet-on-wet technique, therefore they cannot be satisfactorily substituted. Bob Ross Oil Paints are firm and when applied to a wet-based canvas, they can be easily glided over the surface using Bob Ross Paint Brushes and Palette Knives, creating wonderful scenes instantly. The demand for personal tutorials with Bob Ross became impossible for just himself to keep up with, so Bob established a teacher training programme. there are now thousands of fully qualified Bob Ross instructors worldwide including many in the UK and Ireland. We have ourselves hosted a successful, one day, painting tutorial with one of the UK's Bob Ross tutors. We are hoping to run more Bob Ross workshops in the future due to the success and feed back from the last.
